HAPPY ENDINGS
Happy Endings No Kill Cat Shelter is the oldest no kill rescue in Milwaukee. Founded in 1994, it remains ALL volunteer and donation run. Happy Endings isn’t afraid of the hard cases. Many of the cats are feral, stray, abused, neglected, unwanted or critically injured; some are quite shy and considered “unadoptable” by other shelters.
The shelter typically houses 60-70 adult cats plus countless kittens, as well as, adoption units in three Petco stores. Donations are tax deductable and help pay for the medical expenses which were in excess of $67, 000 in 2012. These furry creatures go through over 800 pounds of litter a month, over 300 bags of dry food, 300 cans of canned food and 120 pounds of special diet food. Donations, both monetary and in-kind, are always welcome. Volunteers are always needed to help provide daily care of the cats.
