Authentic Ancient and Indigenous Celtic Paganism Training
Event Details: Serious students of Celtic earth religion, paganism, spirituality, mythology, folklore and shamanism are now being accepted for a new and unprecedented Two-Year Training Program in authentic Celtic religion and spirituality.
Join experienced teacher, writer, priestess and bard Sharynne MacLeod NicMhacha for this unique training and apprenticeship program, drawing on ancient texts in the Celtic languages, early Irish Otherworld poetry and traditions, techniques used by the medieval Irish poet-seers (filid / awenyddion) , druidic training, folklore, study of myths and symbols, work with the Aes Side (Tuatha De Dannan / Plant Annwn) , shamanic techniques and ritual.
Our text will be 'Celtic Myth and Religion' (McFarland Press) by Sharynne (under her academic name Sharon Paice MacLeod) . 21 Lessons are provided to be completed by students over a 1-2 year period. Those who complete the program will be eligible for apprenticeship training to become tradition bearers and wisdom keepers in the Celtic tradition (druid / shaman, priest / ess, poet-seer, healer, bard, sage) .
We will learn about: Celtic gods and goddesses, the ritual year, seasonal folklore, early Celtic culture and religion, authentic sources of knowledge, druids, poets, priestesses and seers, shamanic elements in Celtic religion, shapeshifting, wisdom texts, use of Celtic languages in personal ritual and invocation, Welsh medieval legends, the Celtic origins of the Arthurian legend, folk healers and seers, and much more.
Ms. NicMhacha is a professional Celticist (having trained at Harvard University and published numerous academic articles on Celtic religion and mythology) as well as an experienced Celtic shaman-priestess, professional Celtic singer and musician (The Moors, available on I-Tunes) , and published author ('Celtic Myth and Religion' on McFarland and 'Queen of the Night' on Red Wheel / Weiser) .
