Save Pe' Sla!- The Heart of All That Is

From the heart of South Dakota, I request a contribution from all who know of my Lakota people and acknowledge our lost culture that we have spent 500 years to revitalize. A few weeks ago, it was announced on lastrealindians.com that a privately owned land in the Black Hills known as Pe' Sla (pey shlaw) - what my Lakota people believe to be the Heart of All That Is and the Center of Our Universe- will be auctioned off for what is estimated to account for $6-10 million on August 25, 2012. The Reynolds Family who currently owns this sacred site of the Lakota people are the ones who are putting on this auction. Since the news has spread, different tribes from all over Indian country have placed donations to save Pe' Sla. The reason I bring this issue to attention on Witchvox is because Pe' Sla is where we go to pray and I know that members of this community will understand how important and devastating our loss may be if we are unable to purchase it to be given back to us (the Lakota people) . The state of South Dakota and many other major corporations have development plans set aside to build a highway through this sacred land and we are fighting to keep this from happening. I ask you- I beg you to make a contribution to this fund. If you are unable to donate or have no desire to donate, I ask that you at least share this knowledge with all of whom you may know. Please!
