Group Overview: I am one person, looking to network with others to gain knowledge and wisdom within earth-based philosophies. I want to develop a knowledge base that can be shared on all topics in our own personal group and also via various forms of media to the wider community. Our group would be there for one another and to learn from and support one another in our choice of path in life... I propose that we meet once a week to catch up or for newbies on the discovery trail (perhaps on a Sunday... while everyone else is at church or temple - LOL) and/or on the festivals of the year and full & new moons for circle casting.
My personal path is of druidry. The seven gifts of life and druidry;
1. A philosophy
2. Getting back in touch with nature
3. Healing (herbal and traditional)
4. Living life as a journey
5. Opening up to other realities (divining)
6. Developing our potential and creativity
7. Discovering and using magick
This is a quiet group which should allow for members to grow in secrecy, without fear of judgment or condemnation from others and with the support of one another we will grow in knowledge, friendship and hopefully have a few good times as well. I would encourage pagans struggling with Christian, Jewish or Islamic backgrounds who are afraid of embracing their spiritual path - trust me, all of us will completely understand why and many of us are from similar backgrounds. :) Don't be afraid, get educated!
If you live in close by and would like to spare some time for your spiritual self, if you love the idea of being in nature and sharing moments with like minded people that will make you smile for years to come, you should come and let us get to know you and vice versa.
Eventually, I would like to provide information and support for the wider community and give women (and men) who are not sure about their spiritual calling a vote of encouragement and inspiration. I have a vision for Australia to become a nature-based culture in the future and I sincerely believe that it starts with each of us as individuals.
