Group Overview: Ravenwood Temple in Edmonton is a public Temple with the Congregationalist Wiccan Assembly of Alberta. The CWAA is a legally-recognized Wiccan church, associated with the CWA of British Columbia.
The CWAA currently has two Temples in Alberta; Ravenwood Temple in Edmonton, and Shining Star Temple in Red Deer. We also have a Temple-in-formation in St. Albert. Our services include monthly open circles, public education seminars, pastoral care services, handfasting and legal weddings, baby blessing and passing services for all Alberta Wiccans and Pagans. Registered members can also receive advanced-level Wiccan training, and may be eligible to train for clergy status. CWAA events are open to the public and free of charge.
We welcome adults from all traditions interested in learning about Wicca and Paganism. Children are welcome provided they are accompanied by a parent. Our Open Circles provide an opportunity to participate in rituals from a wide range of traditions, to meet others in Edmonton's Wiccan/Pagan community and, for solitary practitioners, a chance to experience group practise in a safe and welcoming environment.
We now have three ordained clergy; Ali Ravenwood HPS, Samuel Wagar HP, Crystal Diehl HPS, and look forward to growing in service.
CWAA Open Circles are held in Edmonton on the second Sunday of each month EXCEPT AUGUST, from 6-8pm, at Ritchie Hall, 7727- 98 St. For more information or to sign up for our monthly newsletter, contact cwaalberta@gmail.com.
