Group Overview: The earlier edition of our coven dissolved due to scheduling problems, relationship issues, and not due to anger or serious theological differences. So, some of us are actively recruiting now to build it up again. We're moving the covenstead to near the Surrey Central Skytrain station and planning to commence meetings as of the start of June.
Because of my biases and experience (I will continue to be host and Priest) , this will be a learning coven for some time, drawing from a variety of sources, mainly British Traditional Wicca, worshipping Goddesses and Gods from several pantheons, mainly Greek, based on the Mysteries, trance work and worship, with a strong emphasis on living our beliefs in the rest of our lives, open to women and men, all sexual persuasions, all ages.
I expect we will be teaching and learning together for some time, working from the foundations in belief, reading and practice to develop our way of doing things. Working skyclad, Initiatory path, with a somewhat more formal style of work (basically British Tradition) .
Expectations: The coven will meet every two weeks and regular attendance will be required. There will be reading and practice expected of all members. The usual secrecy about the membership, internal workings, and details of coven rituals will be expected. .
The founding Priest is also involved in a legal church offering open circles and public activities and the members of the coven will be welcome to get involved in those activities if they choose to.
If you are interested, contact me. We can get together for a coffee and chat and see if we might be compatible. All members must be interviewed and it will be a while before we have many guests.
