Group Overview: We meet monthly for Esbats, and as part of our group work, we are offering a year-and-a-day course in the Star Sapphire tradition of Wicca. This course includes structured written material, which is made available to students on CD on CD in pdf format. There is also a dicussion group on Yahoo and a Facebook group. It's a good Wicca 101 if you're just getting started on the path, and even a fairly experienced Pagan might learn something.
Star Sapphire is a long-running tradition of Wicca on the West Coast (founded in Vancouver, ) which is coven- or lodge-based, and has its roots in Gardnerian/Alexandrian Wicca, as well as a hereditary folk tradition. It draws heavily upon Wicca's ritual magick roots, with regard for polarity and the balance of God/dess energies, though its heart is based in more Feri-style roots, and it works robed. I especially encourage interested men to participate, as they may find it more suited to their needs.
