Group Overview: We have formed a teaching group, focusing on teachings of Eclectic Wicca and Druidry, to combine as Druidcraft. This is a religious group with a focus on healing, both personal and community. The group will be taught by myself, a druid of at least 19 years experience, and another lady, a wiccan of also twenty plus years experience. We will, with the group members, consider continuing as a teaching/learning/practising group after a year and a day.
This group will teach basics of both Wiccan and Druid practice. * (This is an eclectic Wiccan group and traditional British Druid teachings, not ADF.)
We are supportive primarily of personal development and personal relationship with the Divine as manifest within and without. We will explore the ethical and theological aspects of Wicca and Druidry, and Paganism in general, with emphasis on basic skills for personal practise. We will also answer questions, develop a small group to support spiritual exploration, and different learning needs. We will also look at developing practical skills from both paths, as well as experimenting with combining these practises in our path as a group. We are also looking for people who have both a personal path, but are interested in working with a group of like minded individuals to spur growth and challenge them to develop skills in participating and working in a group. We are looking to explore those aspects of the Divine that belonging to a group will uncover. One does not need to be practising a path to join, but we prefer people who are certain and sure that Wicca and /or Druidry may be for them. (People in 12 step recovery should be mindful of our minimum 90 day clean time requirement.) Because of the nature of healing work we will be doing, we are looking for people who are capable of becoming more honest, open-minded and willing with self and others.
Members will be expected to contribute by their participation and enthusiasm, as well as their talents, to supporting and assisting the development of the group as skill develop with spiritual groups will be taught and explored. In other words, in time we will show you how to teach and mentor another student, as we will have people mentor another group member for one on one work.
This is a semi open group. We will be screening and interviewing folks interested in the teaching program. After the first year teaching program, those ready for more will be invited to initiate into our working group, which will continuously invite members to join, participate, lead, and grow together as a group. We will hopefully be doing a continuous intake teaching program, so if this appeals to you...please apply anytime. We will be screening seasonally as we have room in our group.
At this time, we are not able to teach minors unless a) they are children of the members of the group, or b) they are older teens who have met the adult requirements, and we also have parental permission. And, we will contact parents of minors to verify with them the student's application to our group, and ask the parent to participate in the screening interview with the young person wanting to learn.
We will accomodate the needs of our members as best we can, but we expect participants to participate in our group at least 75% of the time, and more often if seeking further training or teachings. We may be exploring shared childcare/moonday school with the group members as well if there is enough people interested in it.
