Group Overview: Discussion group: Wicca Talks (Wikatox)

Monthly two-hour structured discussion group for beginners, intermediates and advanced witches and pagans interested in dialogue and discussion of materials relevant to the modern and the post-modern Wicca movement.

Time: The Fourth Friday of the Month (exception to be posted well in advance
Location: private home near Wasaga beach
Start date: March 27, 2009 7:30 sharp.

Registration limited to 12 people. There may be a waiting list. If a member fails to attend (is absent for) two Talks within a six-month period, their spot may be forfeited to someone on the waiting list. Exceptions are made from blizzards and ice storms. A minimum of six registrants is needed for the Talks to begin.

Format:

7 pm staggered arrival and cuppa tea
7:30 Unstructured discussion – open topic
8-9 pm Structured discussion Topic: First reference will be The Heart of Wicca by Ellen Cannon Reed. Segments of the book will be read and then discussed. It is not necessary to purchase a book, but it can be found secondhand on Amazon.com. Other books may include the Complete Book of Witchcraft by Buckland, When Why If, by Robin Wood, Pagan, Protocol by S. Alabaster. I have a whole library of books and as a group we can select future books as we complete one.
9-9:30 Unstructured discussion – open topics.

People can then go home to their babysitters etc. and some may stay for another cup of tea for a little while. There is no charge for these talks, although we encourage participants to bring a box of herbal tea, a few rolls of TP, other soft drinks, snacks etc. People wishing photocopies of items should be willing to pay for them.
