Lothloriën Canada-The Shire is a satellite community of The Rowan Tree Church based out of Seattle WA. As such we are subject to their regulations and support the Mother Church in her Mission and Inner Visions.
We currently offer Sabbats (advertised through Facebook – see Lothloriën Canada – The Shire http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/groups/143782719026584/ ) These are small, intimate gatherings. Newcomers are welcome but we ask for some communication with the Lay Minister prior to initial attendance.
We also offer the Child of Light healing ritual during the waxing phase of the Moon. This is conducted as a guided meditation, leaving participants peacefully refreshed. Other activities include discussion Circles, workshops and social gatherings on an ad hoc basis. We support the Church by offering the Ritual of Lothloriën in our gatherings.
Any formal training in the Mysteries of our Tradition of Lothloriën is done through The Mystery School, located in our home office in Kirkland, Washington (US) . Actual Membership in the Rowan Tree Church is first required and time spent participating in the activities of the Shire and working to assist our Lay Minister will further your preparation. An information packet may be purchased for $5.00 US to cover the printing and postage. Contact RevPaul@therowantreechurch.org to make arrangements for this.
Appreciation for the many faces of the God/dess found within our Brethren in the form of tolerance and acceptance of our personal differences is first and foremost as we gather in fellowship. If ye be of like mind, ye shall be welcomed among us.

What is Lothloriën? (taken from Lothloriën’s Witchvox site)
Lothloriën is an Earth-based religion, with our roots in mystery religions of the world. As an Earth-based religion, we celebrate the seasons and the cycles of life. We recognize that Truth is found in many cultures around the world and draw our archetypes from many paths. What makes Lothloriën unique is our acceptance of all people regardless of their culture, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religion or sexual orientation.
Through the archetypes of Unicorns and other universal symbols we extend our beliefs into an inclusive view of reality. We seek to transcend gender-limiting expressions of the Divine and embrace all peoples and cultures upon our planet. Lothloriën strives to be inclusive in all ways.
Communities
We do not follow a coven model but see the growth of groups as Communities. The goals of a Community include one or more Sunday Circles per month and gathering for Full Moon and Sabbat Rituals following The Tradition of Lothloriën. Communities also work on Church projects and promote supportive activities for The Rowan Tree Church.
Sunday Circles are informative and fun, casual discussions. Many are recorded and sent by duplication to Members living elsewhere. Through Sunday Circles, we share ideas, explore our Tradition of Lothloriën, and share news.

Permanent Communities may evolve where we have lay ministers, clergy or bards and two or more Church Members who are able to make the commitment to the larger Rowan Tree, having the time and training to sustain a group and its work.
