Saguenay Wicca est le Cercle de sorcellerie du Saguenay--Lac-St-Jean,
une collectivité religieuse et spirituelle québécoise régionale
adogmatique s'adressant à des personnes majeures manifestant de
l'intérêt pour la sorcellerie wiccaine ainsi que pour diverses
dénominations du néopaganisme. Le membership est entièrement gratuit,
et, en plus de desservir notre propre région, nous accueillons des
membres et amis du monde entier. Notre mission première est de
promouvoir et de supporter la Wicca, tant localement que de par le
monde via le Web. Nous couvrons toutes les croyances, pratiques et
traditions compatibles avec la Wicca et sa philosophie.
Pour maximiser l'impact et l'utilité des nos efforts, nous sommes
disposés à partager, à échanger et à collaborer autant que possible
avec d'autres individus et groupes wiccains et néopaïens de par le
monde.
Comme services à la communauté, nous offrons des forums de
discussion et autres moyens de communication, rendons disponibles
des renseignements et du matériel didactique, coordonnons des
activités d'enseignement et de mentorat, et mettons en oeuvre des
protocoles anonymes et sécurisés pour les collaborations et
rencontres entre membres. De tels protocoles, qu'on ne retrouve
habituellement qu'au sein de groupes à structure hiérarchique
autoritaire (et ce, sans anonymat véritable) , sont mis en oeuvre au
sein de notre Cercle comme des services sur une base démocratique
où les membres sont traités comme des collaborateurs traitant entre
eux d'égal à égal. Pour ce faire, nous avons mis sur pied un club
interne spécial à accès contrôlé (l'Assemblée du Temple) .
Nous n'avons pas de structure hiérarchique. Bien qu'il y ait une
direction centrale chargée de maintenir en tout temps les fonctions
et services les plus essentiels, celle-ci se place entièrement au
service et à l'écoute des membres. L'administration et la prise de
décisions, plutôt que d'être entre les mains d'un seul individu,
sont confiées à un conseil composé de membres bénévoles (le Conseil
des Sages) . Tous les membres qui le désirent ont la possibilité de
participer aux processus décisionnels et organisationnels. Des
postes et des responsabilités spécifiques doivent être délégués à
des membres dignes de confiance offrant bénévolement leurs services.

ENGLISH:
Saguenay Wicca is the Witchcraft Circle of Saguenay--Lac-St-Jean,
a Quebec regional religious and spiritual adogmatic collectivity
aimed at adults expressing an interest in wiccan witchcraft and
various neo-pagan denominations. Membership is free, and, in
addition to serving our own region, we welcome members and friends
from everywhere in the world. Our primary mission is to promote
and support Wicca, both locally and around the world via the Web.
We cover all beliefs, traditions and practices compatible with
Wicca and its philosophy.
To maximize the impact and usefulness of our efforts, we are
willing to share, exchange, and collaborate as much as possible
with other Wiccan and Neo-pagan individuals and groups from around
the world.
As community services, we offer discussion forums and other means
of communication, make available various information and learning
materials, coordinate teaching and mentoring activities, and
implement anonymous and secure protocols for collaborations and
meetings between members. Such protocols, which are usually only
found within groups with a hierarchical, authoritarian, structure
(and this, without true anonymity) , are implemented in our Circle
as services on a democratic basis, where members are treated as
collaborators treating among themselves as equals. To this end,
we established a special, controlled-access, internal club (the
Temple Assembly) .
We have no hierarchical structure. Although there is a central
directorate responsible of maintaining at all times vital
functions and services, it is entirely serving and listening to
members. Administration and decision making, rather than being in
the hands of a single individual, are entrusted to a board of
volunteer members (the Council of the Wise) . All willing members
are invited to participate in decision-making and organizational
processes. Positions and specific responsibilities are being
delegated to trusted members who volunteer their services.
