Ultimately, the Mysteries are about personal growth and unlocking endless possibilities, unlimited potential, and unification with your Higher Genius, your true Spiritual self. We positively believe that the Initiate has no limits in any area of life from the Spiritual, Magical, to the dreams and desires of a creative, fulfilling life in the physical world.
Balance is an essential teaching of the Esoteric Order of the Golden Dawn. Because balanced personal power is integrated into every aspect of our teachings, we believe that success can and should be achieved in every area of Life.
The mystical teachings of the Golden Dawn have helped countless people from around the world develop self mastery and magical empowerment. Since 1888, the traditional and ancient teachings of our Order are handed down to the new practitioner in a compressive and easy to understand method. While our grade materials are extensive and comprehensive, 70% of the secret knowledge taught in the higher grades of our Order have been passed down from Adept to Adept, from mentor to student. Fortunately, the oral tradition is as alive and esteemed today as it was 120 years ago.
The gateway of hidden knowledge remains open to all those who sincerely seek its magnetic power. Sadly, in our modern world, there are those who offer diploma mill correspondence plans and used car guarantees; these are tabletop temples offering downloadable basic information and promising power and adepthood. The truth about the sacred mysteries has not changed in thousands of years. It will talk a serious amount of effort and dedication on the part of the student. No one can guarantee you success, for true success must be motivated by a deep hunger to learn and master the luminous magic that is taught by the Order.
We do however, promise to provide you as a fraternal Brother or Sister all the tools necessary to develop a dynamic and active understanding of the teachings of the classical Golden Dawn. The Order places high value on its fraternal brothers and sisters. Over 100 years ago, the visionaries of our Order developed astral Initiation. This was mostly performed in the United States at the time because the temples were so few and spread apart. We invest an incredible amount of time and energy in our members who are astrally initiated. As an example, the Chief of the Temple of Auriel (a nine thousand sq. ft. facility in Asheville, North Carolina) began its journey with us 13 years ago as an astral initiate. One of the Chiefs of the Second Order many years ago started his journey as an astral initiate, and today operates a thriving sanctuary in Denver, Colorado. Several men and women unlocked the pathway to classical Golden Dawn initiation, and years later have one of the most active and accomplished temples in the Chicago area.
