Group Overview: For people bond by oath and/or blood. The family we wish we were born to!!
We hold that we are collectively responsible to, and for, each other.
We're living in community - not a 'commune'. Having said that, if we have it, and someone else in the clan needs it, it is theirs - so we share most 'moveable resources', from cars to carpet washers! We have our own orchard, allotments, and even 'ancestral corner' for the scattering of ashes after cremation.
We work and worship together as a 'clan'. Everyone, of whatever age, has their unique place within it. We support each other in daily living, with all its trials and victories. It is a way of being - not a way of doing! having said that - we 'do' focus on the acquisition of life-skills: cooking, music, mechanics, plumbing, gardening, ritual hosting, etc., etc.
It takes approximately two years to be 'adopted'. That way we all know what we're getting in to! There is no bar to gender, or maximum age, sexual orientation, or colour, etc.
We are not 'revivalists' or 'reconstructionists' per-se, but our ancestors would recognise our practises and (hopefully accept) how the Old Laws have been adapted for modern living in a generally Christianised society.
