Stone Grove Coven

Age Range/Type: Adult
Located in: Bluntisham, Cambridgeshire, England
Key Contact: Jonathan Ludd

Spiritual Path: Stegheria, Druid, Baphomet
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Legal Clergy... Teaching Available

Group Overview: It is imperative that we follow the ‘old ways’ so that we may protect what we have been taught and further by not overwhelming newcomers with a wealth of knowledge that they would not be able to absorb all at once.

Our coven is in a ‘unique’ position, having three of its members with a wealth of knowledge from their own pathways. I appreciate that for some people; they may wish to follow all three paths. However, this would be totally and utterly impossible as there is no benefit from a person drawing a mix of information from differing pathways and then throwing all the information together to form an ‘off-the-cuff’ path. Acceptable paths are: Baphomet Lodge, Strega, and Druid.

Seeker: If known by an existing member, is invited to a ‘Meet and Greet. If truly an unknown quantity, then should be met in a public place first, then later, the ‘Meet and Greet’

Dedicate: The person, having been regularly attending Moots and Sabbats, is invited to undertake their dedication ceremony to the Coven. At this stage, Nathan will have prepared all the ‘brochures’ for them, covering all the key components of the what’s, why’s and wherefores of a circle and the principle uses of such

Initiate: By this stage, the newcomer has been truly accepted by the Coven, has build up sustainable relationships with its members and wishes to receive more craft knowledge by developing themselves

Discussion: The Initiate is now ready to receive more information. At the next available Sabbat, the three Elders will provide a 10-15 minute presentation on each of the respective paths

Choice: The Initiate is now given time to absorb all that they have received before they make their choice to path

Path: Once a Path is chosen, the ‘Tutor’ of that pathway will hold a meeting on a 1:1 basis to be certain of the Initiate’s views and mode
