Group Overview: We are a family-friendly open and semi-open group that meets regularly to drum, socialise and perform ceremony. We are a Druidcraft group, that is to say, we embrace aspects of both Druidry and Witchcraft. We meet at home (in Chislehurst) during the Winter and sometimes go to parks and special places in the Summer. Most seasonal festival rituals are open with full moon ceremony reserved for once we've got to know each other a bit first. The seasonal rituals have more of an emphasis on celebration, the full moons on magic and healing work. Meetings take place usually on the festival dates or full moons themselves, or sometimes on the closest weekends.
In addition to ritual, we're very interested in practical things, including performing arts (juggling, music, story telling) , working with the land (allotments, clearing litter, sitting out) and going to camps and festivals.
We don't offer formal teaching, but highly recommend the OBOD distance learning course and can give guidance and share knowledge on various topics, including sweat lodge ceremonies, African drumming and working with runes. We do not charge anything for attendance, but people are encouraged to bring something to share. Children are very welcome to come with their parents.
