Group Overview: The Anthesterion Circle is the first 'branched' coven from the Brisbane (Australia) based Coven of the WildWood, of the WildWood Tradition. The Anthesterion Circle celebrates Life, Magick, Nature, Beauty, Love, Trance and of course the Gods who inspired its beginnings.
The WildWood Tradition is a shamanically-inspired, earth-based mystery tradition which draws on elements of old Celtic and Mediterranean Pagan cultures. We give reverence (however not exclusively) to four Gods who we call the 'Sacred Four', whose names, amongst others, are the Weaver, the Greenman, the Crescent Crowned Goddess and the Stag Horned God. We respect the Life, Beauty and Divinity in all things, and work toward the flourishing, greening and re-enchantment of nature.
If you would like to attend one of our open circles, or if you are looking for a coven or circle or simply an open and friendly space to learn, share and grow, then please feel free to contact us - we'd love to hear from you! Though the tradition has previously been filled mostly with younger individuals (the Coven of the WildWood's inner circle consisting of Witches aged 18-30) , we embrace individuals of any age, as long as you bring with you an open mind and heart!
