Merry Meet!
Spiraling Winds is an eclectic coven located in Mesa. We are an alternative lifestyle, family friendly group looking to meet new people and grow our coven.
Our circle practices an eclectic Celtic tradition. Eclectic in our case means that we encourage the use of information from other paths/traditions. We believe that our tradition is not the only way and that others have ideas/spells/rituals that may work better for each individual. In other words, we use what works for us even if it is not dictated by our tradition.
We are primarily a teaching coven. We generally have 3 levels of initiates with each level taking approximately a year and a day. (Usually, a student will not proceed to the next level for at least a year and a day but it can take longer depending on the student) .
The first year of teaching generally works on an "at will" level. If the student decides that the tradition we follow does not work for them, we will help them find a teacher/tradition that does. Also, during that first year, if it becomes apparent that the student is not really interested or can't find the time to attend classes, we might ask them to drop out for a while until they reevaluate their situation.
I have been practicing Wicca for over 20 years and have been a High Priestess for 14 of those years. Skyelar has been practicing for over 14 years and has been a High Priestess for just about 9 years.
