Group Overview: Welcome to Pride Paloma, a Pride of The Awakened Nation!
Our mission as part of The Awakened Nation is Clearing the Path. As there are many different paths (and we welcome them all) , this can have many individual meanings, but for Pride Paloma, it includes:
Understanding local customs and cultures - As representatives of our local community to the Awakened Nation, we feel it is very important to participate in and acknowledge our local customs and cultures. This can often mean participating in or attending local functions, such as the Day of the Dead Parade. For some of us, it also means becoming familiar with the local language, Spanish.
Providing a safe environment for open discussion - As members of The Awakened Nation, and the Universe, we are all curious creatures, interested in exploring topics such as philosophy, science, religion, history, art, music, and much more. This can sometimes be difficult if one doesn't have an appropriate forum - we hope to provide that for our community. There are no stupid questions.
Encouraging personal growth - We understand that life is a process, we all must make mistakes in order to learn, and no one is perfect. However, while understanding this, we strive to be the absolute best we can, at all times, and encourage our members to do the same.

Transportation - car, bus, bike, skateboard, rollerblades
Stability - emotional, mental, financial
Commitment - to your Self, to your community, to each other
