Group Overview: An ancient MORTUARY TEMPLE at least hundreds of years old, if not thousands, has been rediscovered on the sacred Flagstaff Peaks, in the Leroux Springs (re-named Dionysos Springs) area. It is a beautiful, powerful place in pine forests, with lush ferns and wildflowers.
David's Family has been using the area for well over a hundred years as a cemetery for his Ancestors, who recognized the Hallowed Ground. No one lives there, even though a road goes around it to the Snowbowl ski area near the top of the Peaks - as the Coconino National Forest a century ago recognized the sacrosanct Site and built the road away from the graves and archaeological remains.
Now, the USFS has approved a wastewater pipeline from Flagstaff, 10 miles away, to cross near the land for artificial snowmaking at the ski area.
Therefore, anyone who loves Nature is now being invited to use it as a free cemetery, to help protect the Sacred Springs. It is being opened to all respectful Pagans, as a volunteer cemetery. It is a huge area about a mile wide and a mile deep, in heavily wooded and rocky slopes.
David will act as the Caretaker and help anyone who wants to see the Temple, and choose a few plots for their family members to rest in Peace on a magnificent Spiritual Mountain that is as great and good as Delphi or Eleusis.
