Age Range/Type: Adult
Located in: Lake Oswego, Oregon
Key Contact: Annwyn Avalon
Spiritual Path: Witchcraft
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Open Circles... Teaching Available
Group Overview: Circle of the Rambling Rose is currently a teaching circle located in the greater Portland Area . We operate out of our Covenstead "Temple of The Triskele Rose" We currently have 3 branches which are located in Arizona, North Carolina and Oregon.
OuroboRose is our school (Many Courses Offered)
Rambling Rose is our training Coven (Enrollment Beltane/Samhain)
Triskele Rose is our working Coven (Invite only)
Our core praxis is a variety of Folkloric and Traditional Witchcraft practices, with influences from the Avalonian Traditions and Paganism. Our primary study is in Witchcraft, but we understand that there are many branches on this crooked path. Though we have formal study we highly encourage individuality, and developing one’s own spirituality alongside the formal course work. We are always seeking new and dedicated members. We honor the God and Goddess in their many forms, Dark and Full Moons as well as the Sabbats. OuroboRose functions on many levels, therefore classes are available for circle members. If you are interested please contact your local Rambling Rose circle contact for an application or visit us on line at www.OuroboRose.com. The Rambling Rose course is a traditional minimum of 1 year and 1 day. With a total of 12 lessons, 13 books, Esbats and Sabbats. We like to think of this course as a course for the "Well rounded witch" as if gives you a taste of just about everything. If you are serious about learning Witchcraft this could be the course for you. This is a serious course, with written and spiritual work. For more information please contact Priestess Annwyn Avalon or your local Circle contact.
*** Please note that each application will be reviewed and then you will be invited to our social event (s) around the time we open our doors to new members (Beltane/Samhain) After attending one or more of these, applicants will be selected based on how well they mesh with our Tradition and the program. We try to accommodate as many new students as possible, but not all applicants are suited for formal study with us. In addition there is written work and essays that are turned in as homework so basic computer knowledge is necessary for completion of this course.
*** It is important to note that this is not a social group. While much of the work is done in person with your monthly packets, monthly rituals are offered and students are expected to make as many as possible. In addition we expect members to be on time (we do not operate on Pagan Standard Time) responsible, and respectful to the group. We are looking for mature balanced people that are looking for serious study and transformation. This doesn't mean that we don't have a good time. After each class or ritual we have a social potluck. Where you can fellowship with other Witches in the group.
