Group Overview: The Crossroads Coven is sponsored by the Starlight Interfaith Church as a "Pagan 101" class. It is a training coven for beginners or Solitaries who would like to sample the group coven experience and see if it is for them. It introduces students to the different traditions of Paganism to find which one would fit the best for the individual.
The classes are basic generalized information about the choices offered in Paganism to help the individual determine their unique beliefs and find the right Pagan Path or Tradition that would be right for them.
There is no obligation towards initiation, but initiation is offered for those who are interested and qualify. Members are not required to attend every meeting, and can come to the classes and activities they are most interested in, or when they have the time available.
All meetings for the Full Moon occur on Fridays from 7PM to 10PM and located in the High Priestess's home located 25 miles east of Redding in the hills and woods of Shingletown near Mt. Lassen.
The focus of the coven is on eduction, fellowship, and friendship with other Pagans. We will have monthly Full Moon Circles, and meetings will be a variety of fellowship, classes, crafts, and "movie nights." Children of all ages are welcomed to come to the meetings.
Sabbat Circles, a teen study group, and youth activities are through the Starlight Interfaith Church.
For more information about classes and activities, please contact Arcana by email or join the Starlight Interfaith Church yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/starlight_church/) where we post upcoming events and networking activities. Those interested will need to be accepted as a member by filling out a questionnaire and meeting prior to attending meetings with other members of the coven. We do this for safety for all our members, especially our children.
