Group Overview: The Starlight Interfaith Church (SIC) promotes religious tolerance, not only among NeoPagan Traditions and religions, but also among non-Pagan as long as the beliefs are in accordance with NeoPagan principles and ethics and are willing to be open-minded.
Our tradition is general/basic eclectic NeoPaganism that should not offend any specific Tradition, referring to the gods as "Lord and Lady" and not any specific deity.
We help to promote a sense of community of support, with planned and scheduled activities that are interesting and fun for the whole family. Events and activties welcome audience participation, but are also appropiate for the observer.
We are an "umbrella" organization for groups/covens/groves who would like to network with the local community. After scheduled events we allow for groups to meet for classes and their own planned activities to provide variety to those members looking for the right group to join. If you would like to network your group or class with SIC, please contact us for more information.
We provide free "Pagan 101" classes for the beginner as an "Outer Court" with our Crossroads Coven. Crossroads is a training coven providing the basics of Paganism, how to design and develop your own Solitary practice, and how to learn how to work in a group environment to help students discover the right Path, Tradition and/or group that is right for them. These classes are designed to "jump right in" at any time, or you can pick and choose which classes to attend.
The church meetings and events work well for the beginner, Solitary, or busy Pagan who wishes to interact with other Pagans but cannot or does not desire to commit themselves to a specifc group. Classes, groups, and social interaction are provided after the church meeting/event.
SIC provides Open Circles for the Sabbats, and all events are family focused and kid friendly.
Our events and meetings are open to the public. Our only restriction is to exclude those persons and faiths who practice contrary beliefs and practices to what our ethics and principles state. We are here to promote a positive, supportive, and interfaith community with an alturistic focus of helping one another in a humanitarian way. We ask that those who disregard positive NeoPagan ethics, egocentric philosophies, and those with an agenda to push their beliefs on others not attend or apply for membership.
