Group Overview: This group is being formed in order to heed the call of the ancient Egyptian gods to form a relationship with them and honor them. As a reformed Kemetic group, we understand the importance of scholarly research to understand the religion the way it was practiced in the past, but due to change through time, increased experience of new cultures and other gods, a fragmented religious documentation, and the end of the Egyptian nation as it was in their era, a modern reformation and interpretation of the way the religion was practiced is necessary to continue religious practice in the modern world.
Group meetings will foster a spirit of community in the physical plane, rather than sole contact through the internet. While learning about the gods that call us is the foremost aim, community with others of like mind, whether they already belong to another temple or have differing views of modern application, are welcome to discuss their ideas in a welcoming setting. Ritual devoted to the gods including offerings and prayer will be possible.
