Blazing Star Oasis is a chartered body of the Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.) a fraternal organization dedicated to the promulgation of the Law of Thelema as heralded by Liber AL vel Legis, The Book of the Law, received by Aleister Crowley in 1904 e.v. The O.T.O. is committed to the high purpose of securing the Liberty of the Individual, and his or her advancement in Light, Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, and Power, through Beauty, Courage, and Wit, based on the Foundation of Universal Brotherhood.
While Blazing Star Oasis was just chartered in 2009, it represents over 30 years of Thelemic history in the Bay Area, having inherited the legacies of Thelema Lodge, Mons Abiegnus Oasis, and Therion-Babalon Oasis upon their voluntary merger into a single, united effort to support and promulgate the Law of Thelema as envisioned and explicated by Aleister Crowley, and under the authority of the U.S. Grand Lodge of OTO and National Grand Master General Sabazius X°.
