Group Overview: Amas Veritas Coven is an all women's sisterhood of witches and as such is open to women ONLY.
Amas Veritas Coven was founded with the intention of creating a sisterhood of like minded witches who come together to share in an eclectic mix of spirituality, spells, rituals, magick and friendship.
"Amas Veritas" loosely translated means love truth or true love. For those of us in Amas Veritas Coven it is both. The magickal journeys we each experience and share with one another expand our practices and teach us about love, truth and so much more.
We are by no means your typical coven. We are not uniformly Wiccan, Pagan or belong to any magickal religions. There is no hierarchy here, no head priestess, no apprenticeship, no absolute rule because we believe we are all each others teachers and are equal in the circle. Each of us has something to contribute in philosophy, in practice, in wisdom and we embrace that in our fellow witches. There is no right or only way to practice magick.
We enjoy trying new things as a coven and discovering our own truths along the way. It is not uncommon for various individuals to lead during a ritual. This gives us a lot of variety from ritual to ritual enriching both the coven and individual practices. There is an abundant amount of incredible women in Amas Veritas Coven with amazing gifts to share. We get together on a regular basis for both magickal purposes and just for fun and friendship.
We understand that practicing magick can be challenging and sometimes scary or lonely. You may not feel you have people in your life that you can connect to, share with and just be your wonderful magickal self. That is why we created Amas Veritas Coven as both a coven of mackical and spiritual learning, but also as a sanctuary of friendship and support.
We like to have fun here at Amas Veritas Coven and due to there often being wine or other spirits at our events you must be at least 21 years old for membership. Equally, while we respect and honor our elders we want to avoid feeling any sort of condescension based on age and thus are the best fit for those between the ages of 21-40. This gives the added benefit of being able to grow together and be in similar places in our daily lives creating a stronger bond of friendship.
We are an eclectic group of witches and as such are open to most types of magickal practices. The exception to this is those currently practicing Satanism, ritual animal sacrifice or similar radical practices. On the flip side, if you are a zealous white lighter and your practice encompasses everything ever written by Doreen Virtue we are probably not a good fit for you either. Now this is not to say that you will be rejected for having ever practiced or read anything in those categories. On the contrary, we applaud learning and growth on your magickal path in whatever form it takes. We simply want our members to be like-minded enough that we can create a lasting sisterhood in Amas Veritas Coven.
