Our Fall Classes include:

The Iron Pentacle

THREE SUNDAYs - Sept 7, 14 & 21

Reclaim the qualities of Sex, Pride, Self, Power and Passion. Call them back to you and claim them as your birthrights. Our culture has twisted these words: we, as Witches, know that we can use these words, they are sacred. They are the building blocks to becoming more human.

Using our magical skills, moving and shaping energy, transforming ourselves through trance to explore the five points of our inner pentacle: Sex (primal energy) , Self, Passion, Pride (self-esteem) , and Power (effectiveness in the worlds) .

Reclaiming is a community of individuals working to unify spirit and politics. Our vision is rooted in the religion and magic of the
Goddess, the Immanent Life Force. We see our work as teaching and making magic; the art of empowering ourselves and each other.

Reclaiming Spirit Colorado, a Colorado Non-Profit Corporation, presents:

Priestessing: Building Community and Connection to Diety and Each Other

In this experiential workshop, we will develop our community
priestessing skills.

This course will include:

* Creating empowering participatory rituals.
* Developing and leading effective meditations and trances.
* Using consensus process to build energy and create inclusive rituals for community members.

This workshop will be participatory and experiential. We will be
opening to magic and transformation.

We will collectively explore:
* Building a safe magical container
* Creating consensus in community rituals
* Using and moving energy in responsible, safe ways
* Tending and leading
* Collaborating and co-creating ritual intent, meditations, trances
and chants.

Participants should come prepared to explore and experiment. The facilitators believe that each of us is her own spiritual authority. No activity at this workshop is mandatory. We request participants to commit to attending the whole workshop.

Saturday, October 4, 2008 – 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Sunday, October, 5, 2008 – Noon – 5:00 PM

This can be advanced work so we highly recommend that individuals attending have magical experience such as coven experience, spiritual practice, Reclaiming Elements of Magic, Wicca Basics or equivalent as a prerequisite.

Cost: $75 to $125, sliding scale, scholarships available

This experiential workshop is co-facilitated by Brook Schoenfield, a Priestess in the Reclaiming and Feri Traditions of Witchcraft. Brook's material springs from his wonder at the beauty and sacredness of life, from our need for connection with each other and with spirit, and from the challenges of trying to live a life based in vulnerability and emotional honesty. His material ranges from sweet to ironic, from the poetic to strong calls to action. Brook has worked with many groups internationally as a facilitator and consensus trainer.

Reclaiming Spirit Colorado is a collaborative, creative space for eclectic feminist witches in the Denver, Colorado area. We share and worship the Goddess and God honoring diversity and divinity. We are an active political group serving the Divine on the physical plane with our actions and words. Some distinguishing features of Reclaiming Tradition Witchcraft are:

* non-hierarchial groups using consensus decision making;
* strong emphasis on political involvement and social and ecological responsibility;
* training in principles of magic and the structure of ritual,
* cultivation of ecstatic states (without the use of drugs or alcohol) more shamanic than ceremonial;
* cultivation of self-empowerment, self-discovery, and creativity;
* extensive use of chanting and breathwork in magical rites; and
* intense "energy-raising, " often using the spiral dance.

Our immediate goals are building positive community and bringing Reclaiming classes to Colorado.

Reclaiming Principles of Unity

"My law is love unto all beings..." The Charge of the Goddess

The values of the Reclaiming tradition stem from our understanding that the earth is alive and all of life is sacred and interconnected. We see the Goddess as immanent in the earth's cycles of birth, growth, death, decay and regeneration. Our practice arises from a deep, spiritual commitment to the earth, to healing and to the linking of magic with political action.

Each of us embodies the divine. Our ultimate spiritual authority is within, and we need no other person to interpret the sacred to us. We foster the questioning attitude, and honor intellectual, spiritual and creative freedom.

We are an evolving, dynamic tradition and proudly call ourselves Witches. Honoring both Goddess and God, we work with female and male images of divinity, always remembering that their essence is a mystery which goes beyond form. Our community rituals are participatory and ecstatic, celebrating the cycles of the seasons and our lives, and raising energy for personal, collective and earth healing.

We know that everyone can do the life-changing, world-renewing work of magic, the art of changing consciousness at will. We strive to teach and practice in ways that foster personal and collective empowerment, to model shared power and to open leadership roles to all. We make decisions by consensus, and balance individual autonomy with social responsibility.

Our tradition honors the wild, and calls for service to the earth and the community. We value peace and practice non-violence, in keeping with the Rede, "Harm none, and do what you will." We work for all forms of justice: environmental, social, political, racial, gender and economic. Our feminism includes a radical analysis of power, seeing all systems of oppression as interrelated, rooted in structures of domination and control.

We welcome all genders, all races, all ages and sexual orientations and all those differences of life situation, background, and ability that increase our diversity. We strive to make our public rituals and events accessible and safe. We try to balance the need to be justly compensated for our labor with our commitment to make our work available to people of all economic levels.

All living beings are worthy of respect. All are supported by the sacred elements of air, fire, water and earth. We work to create and sustain communities and cultures that embody our values, that can help to heal the wounds of the earth and her peoples, and that can sustain us and nurture future generations.
