Group Overview: The Jefferson Unitarian Church CUUPS (Covenant of UU PaganS) come together because of our reverence for Nature and our instinct for celebration, and our longing for a community which shares these things. We recognize kindred hearts and shared purposes. We are an Earth-based, spiritually oriented, caring group.
We are non-denominational and welcome all paths and traditions. Our goal is to celebrate the eight Sabbats as a community and to enhance the understanding of Earth-based religions through classes and discussion groups.
Please join us in creating a group where we honor both the Goddess and the God, recognizing that there is a bit of Divine in everyone and everything. Our meetings are free and open to everyone. Childcare can be provided with a week advanced notice and you will need to share the cost.
Why "Unitarian Universalist" Pagans? The Sixth Principle of Unitarian Universalism draws from spiritual teachings of Earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature. Jefferson Unitarian Church welcomes JUC CUUPs and our diversity.
The Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPs) is a national organization for Unitarian Universalists whose spirituality is earth-based. It is a forum for those who are interested in the Seventh Principle/Sixth Source of Unitarian Universalism, and is an opportunity for UU's who are curious about or involved in Paganism to teach, learn and network.
The coordination team is Joy Phelan, Doug Everitt, Mari Cowley and John Roesch.
We meet each month on 2nd Thursdays and 4th Wednesdays at 7pm in the Chapel.
