Group Overview: The Yere Wolo Society was formed over ten years ago by Baba Ogunji. The Yere Wolo Society has been in hiatus for a few years and is now back. Baba has an intensive spiritual background as a priest of Hoodoo, Ifa (Orisha) , Kemetic Egyptian Yoga/Tantra. Baba has studied with one of the first Ifa teachers of American decent to practice Ifa in America, he has a backgroud of rootwork (Hoodoo) from his family background in New Orleans.
What is the Yere Wolo Society:
Yere Wolo is a Congo/Bantu word Meaning: Giving birth to self. The Yere Wolo Society is based on those earth based traditions of African and the Caribbean, however we are not limited by anyone of those paths.
Our magical and spiritual system seeks to do no harm in its approach and practice. Our work is about developing alighnment, purpose and direction: ...If you dont mind where you're going any path will do...
