Fellowship of the Blessed Moon - open hearth group

Age Range/Type: Family
Located in: Trinidad, Colorado
Key Contact: Jenn Bailey

Spiritual Path: Eclectic Wiccan *Greencraft
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Open Circles... Legal Clergy... Teaching Available

Group Overview: The mission/vision of this small family style group was/is/will be to meet as everyone is able, but there will be a schedule set up and if you can come great, if not, no worries. It is too hard to try to wait to plan things until people can make it.
Sometimes you may come and sometimes you my be busy and that is okay!
Maybe you like what is planned that week, maybe you want to go elsewhere to celebrate some Sabbat- all fine!!!! This is not a COVEN!!! There is no leader, only a facilitator!
Philosophy of leadership: Wicca is a path of one’s own following- so you have to follow it your way. How can anyone else lead that? I can only tell you my experiences and my thoughts and how I see things, and if you like it you can take all or part of it and if you don't you can ignore it. If you have something to add or another point, I value that as much as my own until I either adopt all or part, or disassociate it from my path- than it becomes part of my own or a different path that I simply respect but don’t follow.
Schedule construct:
We will meet once a month for the ritual for Esbat or Sabbat with feast or snacks to follow.
Then once for a workshop like reiki or tarot and someone may come in or we may have one person leading it.
Once a month we will do a seasonal craft or cook and chatter about a topic or some forum topic that we may be going back or forth about on our fb page.
While we do that, if you are not a crafter/cook, perhaps you would want to sit around the fire pit or hang out in the alter room or read or research something in our altar room.
There is always need for organizers or other projects to be done in the altar room, so if uninterested in cooking/crafts, perhaps helping prep for a future rit or activity would be more appealing to you.
Fires, gardening, camping, meditation, reading, as desired may be done!
We will build a book of shadows once a month with one meeting geared around a facilitated topic. We will each research it and discuss it and someone may coordinate handouts or just bring some basic info..
Some shopping trips to a crystal store or other activity may happen here or there, a special guest may show up as planned.
Once a month a day will be designated for kids to meet up (A Spiral scout activity will be conducted so that they can do something fun- maybe make mosaics or a craft, or do a drum circle and play with like minded kids) . We home school and if other kids do too- we may meet up for a fun activity during a school day- but mainly we will stick to non-school hours so all kids can join.
Requests: We have NO commitment requirements and you can come for anything. However we did ask everyone a few things.
1 Be kind respectful and open
2 No intoxication at rituals
3 No smoking in our house
4 Be careful around the kids and be considerate of others parenting styles
5 Attend one other meeting if attending Esbat ritual as Esbats need folks to know and at least have some bonds to others so for trust building. Rituals for Sabbats are open and about gratitude) . Esbats will be spell workings and practiced using light magick/energy work/ and white only. They will be designed as a group, discussed, and open (no surprises) .
6 Participate and share what you can.
Contributions: We have no dues but there were costs to cover some supplies and everyone will need to contribute to craft needs or bring stuff as needed.
Other: A newsletter will be distributed with a schedule asap! Help is welcome and anyone’s opinions will be heard/taken into consideration by the group for the good of the group!
