Group Overview: We are an eclectic pagan/Wiccan circle located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. We seek to build community amongst area neopagans by holding study groups on the third Tuesday of every month, a semi-monthly open house which will be on even numbered months.
Our Mission is to work within Nature for that which is contributory to the health and wellbeing of ourselves, our circle, and the wider community.
Our Vision is to create and maintain a caring spiritual community which provides a safe, mutually supportive, environment that is conducive to nurturing spiritual growth and to provide service to and within the wider community.
Our Tradition states that we recognize the Creative Power in the universe and view it as present both in the natural world and within ourselves. The Creative Power is viewed as polar in nature, manifesting as both masculine and feminine. We value neither above the other, but view both as essential to the dynamic nature of the universe. Our members follow a variety of earth-centered religious paths, all of which empower them and, through them, bring power to this circle.
Our Core Beliefs are as follows:
Consent and Autonomy: If it harms none, do what you will.
Karma: Whatever actions you take send energy out into the universe. This same energy will return to you many fold.
Balance: Seek balance in all things - - giving/taking, acceptance/ action, protection/openness, thinking/feeling, self/other.
Empowerment and Action: We have the power to bring about positive change in our lives and in the world around us.
Humility and Tolerance: We are all equal in the eyes of the Divine. We must respect all spiritual seeking and paths.
Communication: Open, caring, nonjudgmental communication is the basis of all loving and trusting relationships.
Community: The circle is a family. We are bound to honor and support each other.
Service: We must give in equal measure to the gifts that we receive.
Leadership: Leaders should nurture the following qualities: belief, knowledge, ability, humility, patience, tolerance, inner balance, and a loving nature.
Worship: A larger energy than that which we can achieve individually is created when we gather together and celebrate the Divine during the progression of the Wheel of the Year.
The Circle announces some changes to its structure, aims, and purpose. While the Circle will continue to honor its commitment to serve the pagan community by hosting frequent events open to all interested seekers, we feel the time has come to spend more time nurturing and strengthening the Circle and providing mentoring and spiritual sustenance to its members. This new structure is called The Inward Spiral, and reflects a reordering of Circle priorities. The new emphasis will be on providing a spiritual home for those who wish to actively practice their faith, to perform ritual and Magickal workings and to learn and grow in a close group setting. We will still be holding our Study Groups on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. We will have semi-monthly Open House events, that will be on the even numbered months. In addition to that we will be hosting Two open Sabbats at Ostara and Mabon. Also we will have various other workings, classes, and workshops throughout the year. There are opportunities available for interested spiritual seekers who may wish to pursue Circle membership to participate in some closed events, including Sabbat rituals, which will replace the Open Full Moon Rituals as the group's ritual focus.
