Group Overview: Crossroads witchcraft is a modern neopagan witchcraft tradition that incorporates worship of the old gods, ancestor veneration, honoring the Fey and practical, traditional magic. It is based on the methods of practice I and several friends have used and developed over the last twenty years and while it is primarily based on a Wiccan framework it incorporates the best aspects, in my opinion, of all the other traditions I have studied. Crossroads encourages people to be well educated in their craft and to be joyous in their worship; to know enough to live with wisdom and reverence while still seeing the beauty in daily life....Crossroads witchcraft doesn't teach orthodoxy or orthopraxy, rather it's about knowing what works and why and being able to shape your own practice from that core. There is no set pantheon of worship, but people are encouraged to build personal relationships with deities as we reject the "cafeteria" approach and the idea of "using"
deities, but embrace the more traditional concepts of relating to gods. We also emphasize connecting to ancestors and spirits of the land and faeries as allies.
We see magic as a powerful and useful force that anyone can do and that has many different uses and applications, and believe that there is wisdom in many styles of folk magic. We follow the neopagan calendar, or wheel of the year, and the cycle of the moon, in general. We do not use a three degree system as other traditions do - we are all equally witches.
