Group Overview: The Red Tent Temple was inspired by Anita Diamant's book "The Red Tent" and forged by Massachusetts-based visionary ALisa Starkweather. ALisa's vision is that women all over will raise up a "red tent" on the new moon as a way for us to come together and share, laugh, cry, dance, sing, nap, journal, heal, and bond as a community. It is a time where we are women and we can leave the stress of our world behind.
The Red Tent Temple is a time for women to join together as a community and take care of one another and ourselves.
Each Red Tent Temple is different - sometimes we sit in quiet reflection, sometimes we celebrate with laughter and singing and dancing. No matter - it is a time ...to connect and recharge as women.
I'm re-working my Red Tent Temple to really focus on how the Divine Feminine affects our lives - focus on the Goddess and how she lives within us.
