Group Overview: Six of us got together and decided to setup the legal structure of a Pagan church. Our vision is to provide more formal community ministry to the people we know in Southeast Florida. At the 2006 Summer Solstice, we incorporated as a not-for-profit.
We are documenting of our ongoing activities and we have been recognized in the eyes of the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) organization, church, and public charity. There are many other Pagan groups that have already obtained this recognition. The more the merrier!
Our purpose is to bring people in closer acquaintance and reverence with the Goddess and the God and our Planet Earth. We worship, teach, sing, educate, ordain clergy, and build community.
To become a member of our Circle, one must be at least fourteen years of age, be in sympathy with our purposes and principles, and be invited to sign our membership roll. It is expected that all members shall have a familiarity with the history of our Circle.
We have been known to hold worship events on sabbats, full moons, new moons, and other appropriate occasions such as a child blessing, handfasting, handparting, healing, house blessing, a requiem, croning, a requiem, or other transitions for people we know.
We have been known to provide education for members and others in the ways of the Goddess and the God.
We have been known to use graphic arts to further worship, teaching and education.
We have been known to perform acts of charity using money, materials, and service.
We ordain selected members of our Circle as Elders in Communion to be Clergy for the purposes of performing legal ceremonies and ministering to the outside community. An Elder in Communion is a member who is linked to us by affection, association, and loyalty, and shares in the essential elements of our spiritual values. Ordinations are renewed each year at Imbolc.
