Group Overview: Dragonwood Circle is a family oriented coven with members ranging from two years old to sixty-nine years old. We practice robed as a courtesy to the children who attend our Circles. Also as protection against mosquitoes. We circle outdoors in a privacy-fenced Circle, unless it's raining, in which case we circle in our great room.
Our Full Moon Circles are held in Tampa, at Dragonfruit. Contact Dee at 813-933-2301, email her at...healthymom@hotmail.com, for schedule and directions.
Sabbats are held at Dragonwood Circle in Zephyrhills. And Women's Circles are held four times in the year here.
For all Circles we ask that everyone bring food to share in feast after the ritual, and that everyone help with clean-up.
Our rituals are led by various members of our Circle, partly as a learning experience, and partly because I get very bored when I have to lead all the Circles.
Our ritual foundation is Wiccan, but we also use bits of other traditions that feel good to us........for example......using a sage smudge to cleanse the Circle. We offer teaching toward initiatory degrees, but do not demand that anyone formally study......but no knowledge is ever wasted, so why not?
We live with dogs (2) , cats (3) , a cornsnake, and a bird. If you are allergic to any of these I'd advise you not to come here as there is no way we could ever get every shred of dog or cat fur, or bird feathers out of the rooms. If you are extremely afraid of these animals, this wouldn't be a good place for you, either. I don't let people handle my bird as he can easily snap pencils with his beak.
Final note: If you arrive drunk or high, you won't be allowed in our Circle.
Extra final note: We are very protective of our children.
