) 0 ( Circle of the Spiral Moon is a teaching Wiccan-based coven for Solitary Wiccan women (ages 25 years and older) .
We are very eclectic and do not follow any particular tradition. Even though we have a coven degree system, it is based upon knowledge, experience, and demonstration of that experience in the Craft. No one has authority over anyone else.
We occasionally celebrate the Esbats and almost always celebrate the Sabbats together. We all participate equally in our rituals. We require continued Solitary practice for all of our members.
In ritual, we honor both the Goddess and the God--each member honoring her own archetypes or pantheon.
We meet weekly to study and practice the Craft through "hands-on" teaching and learning. To "fit" into our coven structure, you will need to be the type of person who likes to read and to study. We also learn through books and have degree level requirements. We do not require anyone to move beyond First Degree unless they wish to; Wicca is a living religion, and we practice it by living it on a daily basis!
Since we are a teaching coven, our coven is mostly for beginners to "intermediates, " but we welcome all levels. We would like prospective members to have at least a basic knowledge of Wicca by having read a few books before asking to join us.
We meet in person every Wednesday evening from 7:00pm until 9:30pm, alternating our meetings between various members' houses. We meet around the Gwinnett County, GA area, alternating between Cumming, Commerce, and Duluth. Before you post to join, be sure you are willing to make that drive from your house every week; we've had so many women post to join and then realize how far their drive would be that time of day with traffic. [Please do not post to join if you cannot attend every week as we do require regular attendance.]
We may or may not be accepting new members at this time. You must complete the profile questions. After we preview your profile question answers, you will be asked to complete a more complete questionnaire. We do have a strict joining policy, so please do not be offended if you are not selected to join us.

Members who do not attend regularly will be deleted from the website and from the coven.
The fee for each meetup is $2 per person. This fee is used to cover the monthly website cost and extra activities that we do. (The $2 collected at rituals will go to the hostess rather than to the organizer.) There is never a charge for instruction.
