Group Overview: Silver Pine Grove is a blending the traditions and experiences of Lady Charissa and Lord Redhawk forming a unique tradition.
Lady Charissa received her initial training through Lady Willow of the Grove of the Goddess, now based in North Carolina. She has since expanded her training by taking classes when they were available on a broad variety of subjects. She was an education major attending North Georgia College and State University and Georgia Southern University. She founded and runs North Georgia Solitaries and the Pagan Assistance Fund, sits on the board of directors as the Director of the Pagan Prison Ministry of the Church of the Spiral Tree and is a member of the Dogwood Local Council of the Covenant of the Goddess.
Lord Redhawk received his initial training through Lady Sintana of Ravenwood Church. He went on to study Native American traditions and spent time on the Gila River reservation in Arizona with the Pima-Maricopa tribe. He received his third degree through the local coven, House of Sacred Mother and Child. His practices are a combination of British Traditional Witchcraft, Ceremonial and Native American traditions. He is on staff with North Georgia Solitaries and an active member of Church of the Spiral Tree working with their Pagan Prison Ministry. He enjoys teaching and has provided workshops at places like Auburn Pagan Pride as well as inside the prison system for Pagan inmates.
Silver Pine Grove will honor the sacred connection of everything in the universe, both known and unknown. We will honor the Lord and Lady as God and Goddess, the Spirit part of the five sacred elements. We will be a working and teaching coven that celebrates the Sabbats and Esbats. We will work on an initiatory training system of five levels and three degrees.
There is no commitment from either the Seeker or the coven during the Seeker period. This is a time for the Seeker to learn and for the coven and the Seeker to get to know one another. Should both wish to continue the relationship after the Seeker has completed that level, then the Seeker can apply for Dedication to the coven.
A new Seeker class will open up later in 2013.
