Group Overview: Merry meet, my name is Casey and I've walked a semi solitary path for about 13 years and I've recently come to realize that it's time to open my personal circle and be a part of something larger. My wife has been studying a couple years now and is now practicing along with my children who are currently studying. So yes we are a family of witches.
We are opening a circle/coven/temple with eclectic practitioners like you! I believe in respecting all paths and believe that when the right people come together that they can create something wonderful. We are called the “Circle of Mystical Light” We did hold the Name of "Circle of the Dragon" but this name was already registered when we initially submitted legal paperwork to develop our circle as an organization. I started this circle or gathering place for members and being that in my magickal works I have always had an overwhelming pull to the draconic energies and dragon magick but as the years go by I find myself more open to following and Eclectic Path. We welcome all paths and appreciate every bit of knowledge each person can bring.
A circle is about strengthening ones spiritual path and strengthening the bonds of community. This is a circle of teachers as well as students, which means everyone will give as well as receive in our works.
Everyone has something to give, no matter their level. That is why we do not adhere to the common year and a day before initiation and we do not label with degree levels. Some will be ready much earlier, some later. And someone who has previous knowledge is basically picking up what this new coven does, and being integrated into the group’s energy and mind, then initiaton takes place.
We never say 'Well, what you did before is wrong, so unlearn everything and we will teach you the 'correct' way'. That is absurd, and I would guard against anyone that says that. We offer our 'way' which grows constantly, and those who are called to worship with us do so. Those who are searching for something different we aid and send on their way, doing our best to find someone who practices their way to help them.
Our Circle is ruled by three sacred oaths:
• We honor one another’s unique spiritual practices, and seek to enrich our sense of community with diversity.
• We accept one another's divinity as inherent and non-negotiable.
• We believe that we are each qualified to determine our own personal path, and share our experiences and thoughts in a spirit of generosity, without presumption.
The Circle of Mystical Light does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual preference, spiritual path, or physical ability. We will not tolerate discrimination in our circles and ask that all members in attendance demonstrate sensitivity and respect for the others in the group. We welcome people from all levels of experience and spiritual traditions, and we seek to create space where all are empowered.
If you have an interest in participating as a guest at our gatherings/open circles, ect….. or if you wish to join us as a member then do not hesitate to contact us. We are a very young group and are still in the process of setting roots on a firm ground. At this time we do have two members (One male and one female) who are LEGAL wedding officiants and can perform handfastings and weddings.
