Group Overview: Persephone's Daughters is a study and ritual group for adults of all genders and paths.
* * Newcomers and visitors are always welcome! * *
Meetings take place on the 3rd Friday of each month, 7-9pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Ames in downstairs classroom 3 (www.uufames.org) .

2 priestesses facilitate each meeting and the facilitator roles rotate to give everyone a chance to be a leader. We do decision-making by consensus.
We use these ground rules:
1) Time is like brownies: you're entitled to your share, but make sure everyone else gets a brownie too!
2) Listening: especially when another is speaking and avoiding cross-talk
3) Speaking for oneself: instead of for someone else/group
4) Confidentiality: honoring each others' need for spiritual safe space by only discussing it with members
5) Self-care: assuming each will ask for what she needs
6) Treats: whoever facilitated last time brings treats the next time
Our meetings usually follow the general format of a Reclaiming Tradition workshop/ritual:
1) Grounding and/or purifying
2) Casting a circle
3) Invoking the Elements, God, and Goddess
4) Ritual/workshop/activity
5) Devoking Goddess, God, and Elements
6) Opening the circle
7) Snacks
