Heathenry is the pre-Christian faith of the indiginous peoples of Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Germany and other parts of Europe.
If you are fascinated by the movie The 13th Warrior, if you find yourself obsessively watching every movie adaption of Beowulf that comes out, or you feel a kinship with the Rohirrim in the Lord of the Rings movies, you probably will enjoy reading the Sagas and Eddas.
We meet on the third Sunday of every month from 1-4pm to discuss Heathen lore and the Runes.
Our meeting location is Witchy Wearables in Midlothian, IL at 4459D W. 147th Street, Midlothian, IL 60445 (intersection of 147th Street & Kilbourn) .

Currently we are working our way through the Poetic Edda, one poem at a time.
Basically we go around the table, each reading a stanza at a time from different translations, and discussing them as we go.
If you are interested in attending, feel free to just drop by!
(We usually have spare copies of the Edda.)
We do ask a $3 donation from attendees (waived for first time attendees) , and also that you bring a snack or drink to share.
