Mission Statement
Chapter 8 of the Witch Hat Society©, named Michiana Witch Hatters is a social group. This chapter was started by Laura Cass as an effort to bring the Witch Hat Society© to the Michiana Area. We are not a coven or a working group but instead a social group for fun, informative discussions and sharing.
The originator of the Witch Hat Society© is Regina Stovall from the Lake City Indiana area. The Witch Hat Society© (WHS) had its first meeting on September 30, 2004. The WHS began as a result of a few devoted fans of famous witches; Glenda from Wizard of Oz and Samantha from Bewitched to name just a few first brought magic to our daily lives. Now WHS has grown and currently has 10 chapters, all striving to provide fun, fellowship and spirituality.
The Witch Hat Society© is a group of fun loving people who share a common interest in tarot, astrology, spirituality, and love to make crafts. Field trips have also been taken to observatories, candle making, jewelry making, woodworking, and birding, just to name a few!
All members of the Michiana Witch Hatters are kept in confidence to protect the identities and privacy of the members. Not all members are out of the broom closet and the privacy and secrecy of membership should always be respected.
Craft days are held on the second Sunday of every month from 1pm - 3pm (ish) . Currently meetings are held in my Elkhart home (email for address) but we are looking into another location.
Monthly discussion/meet and greet meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of every month at the University Park Mall Barnes & Noble entrance from 6:30pm to 8pm (ish)
