Group Overview: This group is dedicated to self-purification and the attainment of personal power and wisdom through the practice of Vamacara internal yoga techniques. In the West these are known as Black Tantra, or Left-hand path techniques.
The adept learns how to cultivate internal vitality, focus and move vital energy throughout the body by means of Intent, focused awareness, and physical manipulation. The energy can then be used for whatever purposes the practitioner deems worthy. As in Reichian work, the power can be projected into another's body for healing and to cultivate awareness.
The internal cultivation of forcused energy can be applied to a wide variety of magickal works regardless of the tradition. These internal yogas are particularly useful for mounting energy to be used in the Great Rite, the Maithuna Ritual, and workings in sacred sexuality and sex magick. In later stages, Tantric yogas will be opened for exploration.
This type of practice should not be confused with hatha yoga, and does not require a great degree of fitness or limberness. The Left-hand path is not appropriate for everyone. Beginners are very welcome and encouraged to join this group, but each person is going to be individually evaluated as to whether or not this is likely to benefit her or him.
