Group Overview: Circle of the Ancient Ways in the Northwest Indiana is a Pagan Way Tradition coven teaching basic Craft. We are currently open to new members and seekers. Sincere inquiries only. We welcome seekers and prospective members from the NWI area and SE Chicagoland.
CAW accepts all people who are serious about the Old Path, regardless of race, former or current religious or cultural heritage, and sexual orientation. You can talk to us about membership any time throughout the year, but we do not dedicate, initiate new members, nor start Dedication Classes during the Dark of the Year (November through January) .
If you are under the age of 18, we will have to meet with parent (s) or guardian (s) .
No financial compensation for our teaching is expected or required once a member of the coven. We do request a donation for Basics of Wicca Classes.
We expect prospective members to be well-read on the Craft and have a sincere interest to learn and live the daily life.
The coven is run by an initiated High Priestess.
We are a nature loving, but not a naturist coven. Shoes are optional during ritual, no clothing is not optional.
CAW meet at all the eight Sabbats, each New Moon, and if appropriate, the Full Moon.
Sabbats are generally open to non-members. Other rituals by invitation of the priesthood. You may bring friends, just let us know beforehand.
Public ritual may be attended wearing any undistracting clothing that is appropriate for any religious celebration. No special clothing is required.
We follow a three-degree system. After a formal Dedication, Dedicants can further discuss Initiation into the coven. Note; A dedicant is NOT a member of the coven
