Group Overview: The Grove of the Evening Star is a training coven, located in Bloomington, Indiana, continuing the Tradition of The Coven of the Moon Spinners and Alexandrian Witchcraft. We worship the Goddess who is manifest as the Earth and Moon, and the Horned God of Fertility, Her Consort. We follow an initiatory, hierarchical oath-bound mystery tradition based on hard work, personal growth, and service.
Lady Astarte, HPS, has studied with Lady Ceres Moon Spinners, an accomplished Witch and respected Elder, since 2003 and was Initiated First Degree on May 27, 2007. She received her Second Degree Initiation from Lady Ceres on May 1, 2011 and has been leading classes for the past two years. Lady Astarte has relocated from Maryland to Indiana and has taken the opportunity to further her Second Degree study and expand her spiritual community by establishing a Grove, under the auspices of Lady Ceres and The Mother Coven.
The Grove of the Evening Star has openings for Alexandrian Initiates as well as training opportunities for serious seekers. We are looking for like-minded individuals with passion, strength, and a good sense of humor who are willing to further their spiritual growth.
