Celtic Spirits Coven

Age Range/Type: Adult
Located in: Marion, Indiana
Key Contact: Connor MacKenzie

Spiritual Path: Traditional/Classical
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Teaching Available

Group Overview: We are bringing witchcraft back.

The Celtic Spirits Coven is the only Traditional Witch School in Indiana that offers personal one-on-one mentoring into the mysterious and magical life of becoming a witch. We are not pagan or earth based, we don't have a goddess, we don't worship the moon or think that a cat is a familiar spirit; we are witches and sorcerers who follow historical fact.

Taught by High Witch Connor MacKenzie, The Celtic Spirits Coven has grown into one of the most prestigious covens of Traditional Witchcraft in America due to our passion in helping others.

From it's humble beginning, The Celtic Spirits Coven was formed to help dispel the inappropriate teachings of new-age and Wicca by teaching others the historical record, the philosophy of magic, and how to practice Authentic Classical Witchcraft and Sorcery.

The Celtic Spirits Coven School of Witchcraft and Sorcery bases the teachings of the historical record, learning about actual witch-trial material, and the factual history of Europe. The Coven teaches you how to become a witch and practicing sorcery as those witches did all throughout Europe. You won't learn about the reinvented pagan beliefs here, you will learn about yourself in the magical realm as well as this realm. Factual Witchcraft (unlike Wicca, Neo-Paganism, etc) is not a religion - is a lifestyle as well as a belief in one's self. Witchcraft isn't for everyone, and that's the way it should be.

The school will last for no less than one year, and will end upon initiation into the tradition. Most students take several years, as there is very much inappropriate knowledge to unlearn before one can learn their selves. This is a self-paced type of study, and will require very much reading and discussion along with personal one-on-one mentoring. There is no time-line, it is all a matter of a student showing progress. Due to the complexity and power of witchcraft and sorcery, a prospective student should have a mature way about their self, be one who enjoys studying, be willing to learn, and are ready to find the answers they seek as a witch. You will need time for personal mentoring meetings with Connor, so you should have the ability to meet in person, or by phone as often as you need with a quiet place available. Those under age 30 will be taken only on a case-by-case basis, since maturity plays a key role.

High Witch Connor MacKenzie will meet one-on-one or on the phone, usually in the evenings and weekends for quiet times of discussion and personal mentoring. There is no fee associated with the school. Contact Connor MacKenzie to schedule an in person initial interview. Interviews will take place in a public place.

1. Is this pagan/new-age?

A: No. The Celtic Spirits Coven School of Witchcraft teaches what is in the historical record, using documented evidence of the practices, beliefs system, and magical mind-frame the accused witches of Europe went through.

2. Everyone seems to think their version of witchcraft is the true version. Why is your school "the correct one"?

A: Swapping one imaginary god for another is not witchcraft, and neither are any of the new-age beliefs. Traditional witchcraft is non-religious.

3. Do you follow the 3 fold law?

A: No. If you follow the 3 fold law, you are a Christian.

4. What is your patron God or Goddess?

A: Witchcraft knows no gods. Practicing magic, Interacting and commanding spirits is in direct conflict with any religion that has a god/goddess

5. Why does it take at least a year before initiation?

A. Most of everyone grew up in a christian type of culture, in one form or another. Learning how to become a witch includes breaking through moral barriers that the culture has firmly set in people's hearts. People process through their barriers at their own special unique pace. The School helps you to understand how to be more interactive with the spirit realm. Becoming a witch is a highly private matter, which takes time.

6. What will I study to become a witch?

A. We first start out with books covering the true history of Europe so that you can get a solid grasp of what's true, then we move on to see how different religious beliefs formed, we read the witch trials, and then move on to further magic and sorcery studies and practices. There will be a lot of reading, a lot of talking, a lot of practice, and probably a lot of mentoring. You will notice a lot of changes within yourself as you progress.
