Group Overview: Women’s Web is a group of women of all ages and all kinds of religious backgrounds. Our focus is honoring the Earth and Goddess energy through ritual.
This is a group of shared leadership, so everyone contributes as they feel ready. Because of the many different women in the group sharing in the planning of our rituals, no two rituals look exactly alike. Generally, there are some common elements though, which include: Grounding & Calling the Directions at the beginning, and Releasing the Directions & Closing at the end. In the middle we have done all kinds of things: New Moon Wishes; Storytelling (generally Goddess stories) ; Creative Writing; Gathering Healing Energy (for group members who request it) ; sharing creative endeavors; Tarot Games & Reading; Chanting; enactments of Goddess myths, and on and on. We celebrate the Moon cycles, Equinoxes, Solstices, and the old Nature-based holidays of Samhain, Brigit, Eostar, and Lammas.
We meet twice a month in Lawrence, Kansas.
