Group Overview: This is the Main Coven of The Black Rose Tradition. In order to know what this Coven is about, let me go over the Tradition's History, from Coven to Tradition.
The Black Rose Tradition (Black Rose Wicca) - Founded in October 18, 2007. The Black Rose Tradition's first Circle was held in Bradenton, Florida, USA. The Tradition started off as a Coven Founded by Rev. Mirado Dante Crow called, "The Black Rose Coven", with first members Rev. Mirado Crow, Jonathan Raven, and Mack Kelly; around a campfire in the back of Jonathan Raven's home. The construction of the Coven was started on September 13, 2007. But the Coven first held its opening Circle October 18, 2007.
The Black Rose eventually became a Tradition when more groups of Solitary Wiccans became affiliated with The Main Coven. The Tradition has its own Central Laws that ALL Black Rose Wiccans are bound to. Sadly, Jonathan Raven is no longer a member, but Mack Kelly had steped down from his office of High Elder of the High Council of Elders. The Tradition's main Philosophy is "Equality without bastardization", meaning that all Pagan Pantheons are welcome. Also, the High Priest and High Priestess of a Coven is of Equal Authority. Everyone is Equal within The Black Rose Tradition, but must respect someone of higher rank and/or office.
The Black Rose Tradition is both an Initiatory and Non-Initiatory Tradition, meaning that if one doesn't want to be Initiated into a Coven, then they can join one of the Solitary Groups. It has its own essential Laws, that way nobody falls victim to any Dogma.
The Black Rose has a degree system. Just like the other traditions.
Membership into The Black Rose Tradition is by Invitation Only by the Coven's HP and/or HPS.
As a Religious Organization (Church) , we automatically have Tax Exempt Status (per. SS. 501 of the Internal Revenue Code) .
