LAW is a 501 (c) 4 non-profit organization based in Springfield, LA. Our mission is to effect positive social, economic, and political change for Pagans in Louisiana. Our purpose is to represent Wiccans and other Pagans in Louisiana on legal issues based on religious discrimination.
If you, or anyone you know in Louisiana, have legal issues based on religious discrimination, please contact us at lawiccans@gmail.com. Each case is evaluated and considered individually.
If you know of an unlawful ordinance (based on religious discrimination) in a town or parish in Louisiana contact us as well. Among our other success stories, in 2008 our legal staff tackled the Livingston Parish Anti Divination Ordinance and won. That law in no longer on the Livingston Parish books! (Follow the You Tube links here on our site for details.)
We usually have a major fund raisers each year, and smaller fund raisers throughout the year, to raise money to fund legal support and offer temporary monetary/foodbank support when needs arise and as funds allow. All of the profits we raise go back in to the community for legal fees, filings, etc. Our staff attorney works pro bono, he does not get paid for his services. All of our other staff members donate their time as well.
