Group Overview: We are a group that actually has started forming already, we currently have four members, the ages ranging from 16-19, we are open to all ages however we are hoping to find people in our area that are truly interested. We do not want people who are in this to scare parents, family, or anything like that. This really is a serious thing to us, and ritual and circles are sacred and nothing to treat lightly therefore we want to make sure anyone entering our group truly is interested and wants to truly learn or believes what we are doing.
We however are so happy to be able to start this group, cause we know that there are people who are our age that are Wiccan, and or Pagan, and want to have somewhere to go and share their beliefs openly like we do, and this seems to be the first one in the region of New Orleans that has it. Also know that our covenstead is going to be on the Westbank, however we may move it somewhere else, we are still trying to find a place that works for us that everyone can get around to.
Please also know that if you join and the group is going to be participating in ritual, (not in your first visit mind you.) we may ask you to help provide somethings, such as incense or candles, cookies, etc. However we will NEVER ask a first or even second time visitor to bring something, we want whoever comes to feel welcome! So we hope to hear from you soon, and please tell your friends about us, also know anyone is welcome to join. We plan on meeting quite often, at least twice a month, which I don't believe is too much to ask, and also will be a good way for everyone who wants to join to have a chance to visit and not have to wait too long to do so, also anyone in the group, we will help to work around you schedule no matter what it takes so that everyone can participate in circle and or ritual.
