Group Overview: Our aim is to honor the Gods and help create an environment of inclusion and equality for Wiccans (Wit-chen) . We feel that knowledge brings understanding...and understanding brings tolerance. Wisteria is a Teaching Tradition, for without Knowledge there can be no
personal growth. As Witches, we are caretakers of the Earth, and all She holds. Each person finds, in his or her own spirit how best to care for our Earth. Cleaning a roadway is as important as meditating. Keeping track of the law is as important as lighting a candle.
Actions without care for the spirit are as dead as the spiritual without works for the spirit is empty.
The Wisteria Tremple honors the Principles set down by the American Witches Council in 1974, The Modernized Ordains, The Rede, Three-Fold Law, The Charges of the Goddess and God, and those laws particular to the Wisteria Tradition. Our way of following the Wiccen
religion is lived, felt and experienced rather than simply believed. It is a way of life...not simply something for a Sabbat.
We recognize that we are not a direct line to the ancient's knowledge. No one can have that knowledge because too much was destroyed, and too many millennia have passed. We can study the history and the writings of the teachers and philosophers of the past. Artifacts
have been found that give us information to help us fill in the empty spaces. We take that knowledge, combined with thought, meditation and reason to form Wisteria. It is not a copy of an ancient religion but something modern Pagans can follow, love and choose to live. It is from the roots of the past that we carry the seeds of the future.
