Group Overview: The EarthGate Temple of Risinisis (TETORI) is a Wiccan Coven in Pittsfield which seeks to perfect a unique trefoil tradition composed of Hereditary, Egyptian and Alexandrian Witchcraft practices. The coven was born in 2002, and we meet in the fey Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts.
Membership in this Temple follows a four degree system where the 4th degree is an experimental extension of the traditional 3rd degree. Candidates must be 18+ years of age. Esbats and sabbats are met with circle regularly, and several Goddesses and Gods are favored amongst others. We recognize 13 sabbats, 13 esbats, and 13 pasdats (new moons) as comprising the magical year. We adhere to the Law of Three, the Wiccan Rede, and the Law of Isis, and we also teach the implications and applications of the Hermetic Laws.
Our paradigm for Magical, Spiritual and Religious Training (The IsisMethod) is long, literate, demonstrative, rigorous and rewarding, and prepares initiates to become well-educated, well-rounded, wise and powerful Reverend-Witches. All coveners are considered to be "Students in the Temple of the Gods", and are enrolled into the EarthGate School, where progress and training is monitored and honed.
The development of psychic force and power is established using scientific protocols, where applicable, and is tempered with the force of love. On a regular basis, various methods of spell casting are researched and presented by members of the coven, to the coven. We are traditonal in that we feel certain core aspects of The Craft should never be changed or discarded, and eclectic wherein we feel that The Craft must change its mode of delivery to fit [a society's needs] in the present time. Physical fitness and personal hygiene in our tradition are inextractible keys in the proper growth of psychic power and contact with the Gods, and each member is encouraged to exercise daily.
The Inner and Outer Courts of Risinisis are led by the High Priestess Lady Ess (2*) , and by the High Priest Chris TishMaran (3*) .
Our Temple values and supports diversity of body, mind and soul, and enjoys a gentle, familial coming together when we gather to worship and play. This is a coven of trust, and a family of peace.
